Program description: Gonzaga University (a Jesuit school) has been operating this year-long study program in Florence for 40 years. Classes are available in areas such as art history, drawing, economics, English literature, history, beginning through advanced Italian, philosophy, political science, sculpture, sociology, and religious studies, as well as management, marketing, and finance. Housing is in pensioni, or local hotels, near the Gonzaga-In-Florence center. There are opportunities for organized as well as individual travel. One year of prior study in the Italian language is required by Santa Clara for participation the Gonzaga-In-Florence program. The Gonzaga-in-Florence program must be done for the full year.
