Although no cases of swine flu have been reported at Santa Clara University, we are addressing the possibility of a flu outbreak with caution and are actively monitoring all reports and information. As always, the safety and well being of all members of the University community ? students, staff, and faculty ? are our primary concern.

SCU Scotland Summer 2009 - Changed

Due to low enrollment the SCU Scotland Summer Program has been canceled, but students who had been approved for the program can still enroll in the Arcadia Stirling Summer Program directly and pay directly to Arcadia.

International House - Opens Fall 2009

Beginning Fall 2009, International House, a CyPhi RLC program co-sponsored by International Programs Office and the International Student Services. I-House will be lodged in Swig Hall, 5th floor, as a special-focus floor within CyPhi RLC beginning in fall of 2009.

SF Spanish Consulate NEW Visa Policy

Students who intend to apply for the Spanish visa through the Spanish Consulate in San Francisco are now required to have purchased a round-trip ticket to Spain prior to the submitting their visa application.

Summer Abroad Programs - Still Open Until April 15th

Summer Abroad programs are still an option for students. We are still accepting new petitions until April 15 for Rome, El Salvador, Costa Rica, Germany, London, Scotland. Participate in any of the Summer Abroad Week (March 9 - 13, 2009) events to get more information.

Syracuse Transcript Policy

Santa Clara students who studied abroad on any of Syracuse University's programs will need to request an official transcript to be sent to Santa Clara University at the conclusion of their programs. This policy includes students who studied with Syracuse Fall 2008.

New Zealand programs in Price Level II

Based on revised costing estimates for the 2009-2010 academic year, New Zealand-based programs will remain in Price Level II while Australia, Ireland, Denmark, and others have been moved to the more expensive Price Level III.

Antioch - Buddhist Studies Status Changed to Associate Program

Provost Announces New Study Abroad Policy

The formidable challenges created by the current economic situation have led the University to reconsider how it offers study abroad opportunities to students. Provost Lucia Gilbert released a new study abroad policy directing the International Programs Office to contain expenditures on study abroad.
