 Syracuse Transcript Policy

We have just been alerted that transcript request policies have changed at Syracuse University which affects Santa Clara students. All non-Syracuse students who study in any of their abroad programs need to request their official transcript to be sent directly to their home institutions at the conclusion of their program. If you studied with Syracuse last Fall and will be studying with them in the coming academic year, you will need to complete the Transcript Request form so your abroad grades can be posted on your ecampus.

Please follow the instructions on their website (http://suabroad.syr.edu/accepted/request/) to have your official transcript mailed directly to the following:

Carol Bonney, Assistant Registrar, Santa Clara University, 500 El Camino Real, Santa Clara, CA 95053

Once Carol has received your transcript, she will then forward it on to Lori Johnson (LAJohnson@scu.edu) at the Drahmann Center who will use the Study Abroad Course Approval Form you submitted to her back in Spring for the SCU equivalent courses. Once you’ve verified from Syracuse that your transcript has been sent to Santa Clara, then you can follow up with Lori directly on the status of the ecampus posting. Do know that Lori only works part-time at the Drahmann Center to process over 500 transcripts so be patient.

FYI: even though your abroad grades may not have been posted to ecampus, your Spring Registration Appointment placement will not be affected. Until Syracuse grades get posted, your Fall 09 should still show 19 units for the UNIV 199 – Studies Abroad placeholder course.
