Changes to Study Abroad Fees for 2009 - 2010

Friday, Jan. 9, 2009

Please be advised that the current global financial situation has caused some changes in the final list of approved sites. Changes include whether Santa Clara is able to offer some programs in 2009 - 2010, the number of slots available at each program site, relocating programs within the overall price structure, and the quarter/semester when students will be accepted to study abroad. As of now affiliated programs in the following locations have moved to price Level III: United Kingdom (except Santa Clara London Program), Republic of Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, Kingdom of Denmark, Syracuse - Hong Kong, Japan (except for Direct Exchange sites). Similarly, School for Field Studies programs will be moving to price Level II.

Santa Clara is committed to helping students have an academically enriching educational experience abroad. If financing study abroad has become a problem for you we strongly urge you consider the less expensive programs at price Level I, SCU-Operated, or Direct Exchange sites. The Direct Exchanges offer an excellent academic and financial value with maximum immersion. Please do not hesitate to contact International Programs to explore your options to make sure you are able to study abroad next year.
