Joe Sugg has been a leader in creating a more sustainable campus. Joe oversees buildings management and construction, grounds management, energy use, waste management and purchasing policy. When asked how he came to view sustainability as a core Santa Clara value, Joe identified two personal triggers. As the Office Manager of the Women’s and Gender Studies Department (WGST), Jessica Gagnon oversees the smooth function of all things department related. She also tries to make their department as sustainable as possible, which is no easy feat in an office/academic environment. Jessica’s good habits have a positive impact on everyday WGST activities. For example, Jessica actively recycles her ink cartridges through SCU intercampus mail and helps faculty members who aren’t familiar with SCU’s recycling policies. Learn More »

Junior Allison Kopf has served as the Project Manager for the Solar Decathlon Team since her freshman year at Santa Clara University. Kopf emphasizes that every aspect of the Refract House, down the micro-level, is student run. Learn More »

Since entering law school at Santa Clara in 2007, Daniel has taken an active role in both the law school and the university's sustainability efforts. This past academic year, he served as President of the International Law Society and the Environmental Law Society, in addition to serving on the Student Bar Association. Learn More »
