Time for "Spring Cleaning". It’s getting close to move-out. Take some time to start looking through your closet (and maybe your kids’ if you are a parent) and sort things that you haven’t worn in about six months...or longer.
The Swap for Good is a clothing exchange. You donate clothes you may not want anymore this week and volunteers will sort everybody’s donations (students, staff, and faculty) over weekend. Shop/Swap for items on Monday.
On Monday, May 14th the Benson Parlors will become a store!
Some of the items collected (socks, shoes, some sports equipment, formal dresses, children’s clothes, some business clothing) will support local community organizations. Shoes, socks go to Project Open Hand. Formal dresses will go to the Princess Project. Children’s clothing will go to the children of the two Home Safe shelters in San Jose and Santa Clara. Sports equipment, children’s books, will go to various local organizations serving children and youth. After the store closes on Monday, the remainder of donations will be picked up by Hope Services.
