Sustainable Tips: After-College Knowledge (STACK)
Posted on Friday, Sep. 21, 2012
On a budget? Learn how to live, work, and play in a healthy and sustainable way! Confused by your energy bill? Saving energy can save money too. Miss your dining points? Learn how to cook quick, healthy, and cheap meals.
Upperclassmen are already worried about finding a job after graduation but there are other things you'll do besides work when you graduate and it'd be neat to learn them now!
The Office of Sustainability will host different monthly workshops for students led by SCU staff or faculty or a local organization to teach you how to live healthy and sustainable now and after graduation. From craft-making and pie-making in the holiday season, cooking healthy meals, saving money on your utilities bills, and home gardening--check out one of our upcoming workshops this year!
First event: Sustainable and Easy Cooking for Students
Join us for a hands-on cooking class lead by University Dining Services chefs. This informational and educational evening includes food knowledge focused on the Bon Appetit Circle of Responsibility program as well as practical cooking experience.
Take-home recipes will be provided and tasting is encouraged!
