SCU organizing group home solar purchase

University Operations and the Office of Sustainability are initiating a group-purchase of home photovoltaic installations to help facilitate a culture of sustainability at home—increasing our reliance on renewable energy—for SCU employees, students, and alumni.

A home solar advocate will be on campus next week to share information about this opportunity. He will share information about the various kinds of equipment, changes to the industry, net metering, local rebates, and will provide general advice for homeowners.

What: overview of group-purchase program for photovoltaic systems, (presentation + Q&A)

When: Two sessions: Wednesday, 10/5: 4pm-5pm and Thursday, 10/6: 12pm-1pm.

Where: Forbes Conference Room, Lucas Hall 126.

What you need: Please RSVP at least 24 hours before the event you plan to attend.

For those of you wanting specific information about how solar power can benefit you, bring a copy of your latest utility bill.
