How will you use your experiences after the Decathlon is over?

Wednesday, Apr. 29, 2009

I'd say that this experience has definitely taught me things that will be useful in the future. I've learned a lot about working with students, listening to their ideas, and helping them to be successful. I've also learned a lot through working with Quentin and Kristin - specifically how reliable and productive they are.

I'd definitely like to apply my experiences to help get my friends involved in sustainability. I'm mostly interested in finding ways to get them motivated, which wasn't really a problem with the students at Wilcox. I was amazed by the amount of things they were able to get done, and I wish that even half of my friends care as much as they do. Maybe it's just something I have to dig out of them. I think that a lot of people want to be motivated, and think that they don't have the time for self-motivation. So let's get them excited!
