How will you use your experiences after the Decathlon is over?

I will use my experience of mentoring as an example of my ability to mediate a group. I have been applying for many leadership positions and have been able to talk about the success of San Jose High School as an example of my role as a leader.

It was not an easy task to try and stay in contact with the school since we are on completely different time schedules, but it was worth the time. From all the time I have spent with San Jose I will take away the progress San Jose High School has made. They started with nothing and now have various projects. The team worked very well together trying to accomplish as many tasks as they could. The power of working together is very powerful. San Jose has shown this through their accomplishments.

I can use my experience to engage peers. I can use what San Jose has done and explain how easy it is to implement a sustainable life. It is so important we live sustainability. We do not want to harm the future because of our mistakes. The example of San Jose should strengthen my argument of why sustainability is so important and convince others to do the same.
