I don't live on campus so I was wondering if there's somewhere I can take empty ink cartridges, batteries, and old cell phones to be recycled?

Both ink cartridges and cell phones can be taken to any Staples or Best Buy. Staples also takes rechargeable batteries, but the Santa Clara Senior Center (1303 Fremont St.) will take NiCad (nickel cadmonium) batteries, re-chargeable batteries, single-use batteries, and other batteries in general. For other hard-to-recycle items, Earth911.org is a really helpful site!
