Take the Grad Pledge. Photo from Office of Sustainability. Seniors: take the Graduation Pledge
Graduating seniors across the country are taking the pledge:

“I pledge to explore and to take into account the social and environmental consequences of any job I consider and to try to improve these aspects of any organizations for which I work.”

Each year, more than 1,000,000 students enter the workforce. Imagine the impact on our society if even a small number of applicants and employees inquire about or attempt to change the ethical practices of their potential or current employers. By taking the Graduation Pledge, you define for yourself what it means to be socially and environmentally responsible. There is no obligation to turn down jobs; the graduation pledge is simply a way for you to ensure that your job represents more than a paycheck.

More support is needed on this issue due to the social and environmental repercussions that could affect communities at large.
