So, where did all that old Swig furniture go?
Residents in Swig Hall are not the only students with new furniture this year. Santa Clara partnered with the Institution Recycling Network to donate most of the old Swig residential furniture, including bed frames, desk chairs and wardrobes, to needy school children in Mexico, Jamaica, Honduras and Nicaragua. 1,646 pieces of furniture, weighing over 80 tons, were donated.
