SCU will be the first Bay Area university to control, monitor, and measure energy production and consumption with a smart microgrid. The University already has 1.05 megawatts of solar generation, and a 10 kilowatt wind turbine. A recent news story by CBS talks about SCU's plans for a smart microgrid, furthering our progress toward renewable energy generation and climate neutrality.
