Fractal Games is a startup that makes educational video games. We are preparing to launch a Kickstarter campaign for our first title, Crystal Mathematics, an action-based 3D math game for middle school kids.

We are looking for someone to create and manage our social media presence to build a community of potential users and backers before our campaign goes live.

You will be responsible for:
~ Tweeting/blogging about our own game development progress, news and events relevant to us in the EduTech space.
~ Reaching out to gaming magazines/blogs and other EduTech organizations.
~ Keeping our user/backer communities engaged throughout the Kickstarter campaign.

This role will require participation in meetings on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month, and research work outside those formal meetings. Work level varies dependent on how much due diligence is in the works, and how much the Intern wants to get involved and learn. At a minimum the Intern should plan for 20-30 hours a month.

Create sponsorship packets and proposals to potential corporate sponsors
Connect with major financial and media sponsors and perform as spokesperson for sponsorship deals

Finance and Operations Manager

Support the Executive Director in all functions of Finance and Operations, e.g. sponsorship, budgeting, sales, fundraising
Maintain records of event expenses, sponsorship money, and payments to vendors
Collaborate with the Director of Business Development and Fundraising Manager to utilize accounting and finance principles to set up revenue streams associated with the Racing for Science mission

Marketing Director

Create, grow, and publicize the Racing for Science image to the public
Coordinate with Public Relations, Community, and Social Media, and Brand Managers to establish marketing strategy for Racing for Science
Establish timelines and projected goals for major Racing for Science public events
Establish and analyze metrics to track the social impact of Racing for Science programs
Oversee community relations, partnerships, events, and community service efforts to further strengthen Racing for Science’s presence in the Bay Area

Public Relations Manager

Support the Marketing Director and strengthen the Racing for Science brand through the use of creative writing
Draft and disseminate press releases to major media outlets to bring better awareness of the Racing for Science movement and upcoming events
Maintain media outlet database and communicate with all online, print, YouTube, television, and radio contacts whenever major announcements are made
Research and reach out to local and national media partners to spread the word about Racing for Science

Social Media Manager

Support the Marketing Director and strengthen the Racing for Science brand through creating and managing all social media outlets
Update Racing for Science Facebook fan page, Twitter, Tumblr, and Youtube accounts
Correspond with Public Relations manager to coordinate all event announcements, promotions, and Racing for Science global shoutouts through social media channels
Create engaging ways to grow our audience by utilizing suave social speech savvy
Maintain a constant stream of content and dialogue to improve the reach of the Racing for Science brand and increase social media follow/like counts

Community Relations Manager

Coordinate with Director of Business Development to develop strategic relationships in the community
Coordinate with School Project Managers to ensure that each individual school’s Racing for Science program needs are being met, e.g. manufacturing capability and test space for Racing for Science’s Electric Kart program
Build and maintain a database of Racing for Science’s community contacts
Interface with community organizations to strengthen the Racing for Science brand
Organize community outreach, e.g. K-12 STEM mentoring, organizing guest speeches

School Project Managers

Each school that Racing for Science wants to introduce projects to has a different culture, different rules, and different personalities. It is the School Project Managers’ mission to navigate this landscape and effectively introduce project-based learning experiences into school classrooms.

Coordinate with school administration to introduce Racing for Science curricula
Create and sustain brand awareness on school campuses
Act as ambassadors for school outreach and event opportunities

This project advances an existing online service/community for promoting live music. It also seeks to redefine all aspects of today’s live music scene through the use of Web-enabling and social media tools. Strong focus is on the synergy and interaction and monetization of fans, venues and musicians. The current focal point is the Bay Area but can be easily scaled to other geographical areas.

Position: Administrative and Service Coordinator Intern

The Administrative and Service Coordinator will lead and manage the administrative functions
and duties of A.G.E.S. Learning Solutions, Inc. and will be responsible for coordinating insurance
and client billing for all direct services rendered by the company. This person will report directly
to the Chief Executive Officer, and will serve as her administrative assistant. The person in this
position will serve as the preliminary point-of-contact for members of the community, and will be
responsible for scheduling behavior assessments and treatment sessions for clients.

Additional job duties will include, but are not limited to:

• Serve as Office Manager;
• Schedule and screen appointments, visitors, e-mail, and calls for administrators and
consultants;
• Assist the administrators in preparation of presentations, reports, and respond to client,
contract, and community inquiries;
• Maintain knowledge of insurance laws and regulations impacting persons with
disabilities/autism;
• Maintain outstanding interpersonal skills while serving as the agency’s receptionist;
• Maintain agency equipment and supplies;
• Maintain, organize, and coordinate the retention of client records and documents;
• Assist the administrators in facilitating functions and events, and other special projects as
required.

Minimum Qualifications
Associate's Degree and two years of office administration or business management experience;
or any equivalent combination of experience, education, and training.

Preferred Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess:

• A bachelor’s degree in a related field (i.e., Business Management, Accounting) or
completing a degree;
• Knowledge of and/or experience in autism education/intervention, diagnosis, and training;
• Knowledge of and/or experience in medical/therapeutic services and insurance billing
related to autism;
• Knowledge of State of California rules and regulations related to autism and/or disabilities
services and education;
• Strong organizational skills and experience with scheduling;
• Strong presentation and public relations skills.

Hours and Compensation

• Approximately 20 hours per week
• $10 - $15 per hour
