The StaffCounseling & Psychological Services (CAPS) is composed of a team of highly skilled clinicians and administrative personnel. The clinical staff consists of an ethnically and culturally diverse set of licensed mental health professionals. In addition, we have 2 full-time pre-doctoral interns and 3 part-time advanced practicum trainees joining our staff for the 2008-09 academic year. Our trainees are doctoral students interested in pursuing careers in the field of mental health. They assist us in providing services to the SCU community while under supervision of one of our licensed staff psychologists. All of our members are experienced in working with a college student population and observe the highest professional ethical standards of care. Supporting the work performed by the clinical staff are an administrative assistant and several student workers from the SCU community. Our administrative assistant facilitates the daily operations of the counseling center, supervises our corps of student workers, and oversees the administration of a variety of post-graduate examination services. All of our student workers are trained to maintain the privacy and confidentiality of the individuals who utilize our services. Ultimately, each member of the CAPS team strives to promote and further the mission set forth by the university. Clinical Staff
