Participants in this special 2-day PowerPoint workshop will learn how to create a presentation from start to finish. Topics will include the use of PowerPoint, animation, tips on presenting and productivity, and will conclude with a workshop session. After this series, you will have the skills to create and present professional, elegant, and effective PowerPoint presentations.
Day 1
Powerful PowerPoint Presentations
- Discover the benefits of planning your presentation, defining your purpose, and analyzing your audience
- Learn quick and easy methods to organize content
- Design your presentation to be consistent and effective
- Use basic tools to create unique presentations from scratch
- Learn the most common presentation pitfalls -- and how to avoid them
- Perfect visual and vocal queues
Up & Running with PowerPoint- Creating presentations from scratch or use pre-made design templates
- Format master slides; create and edit slides
- Format text and bullets; use the slide sorter; add clip art; run spell check
- Working with images, objects, and clip art
- Adding sound and movies; inserting and embedding YouTube videos
- Applying custom animations
- Customizing workspace with keyboard shortcuts
- Saving and Printing your Presentation: different printing options; printing handouts; saving presentation on USB drive
Day 2PowerPoint - Multimedia - Create flowcharts
- Add movies and sound
- Apply custom animations
- Apply action settings
PowerPoint Tips & Tricks - Maximize productivity with Master Slides to set universal styles, fonts, colors, and images
- Create various handouts, notes, and outlines for your audience and yourself
- Learn the full capabilities of slide layouts, slide designs, animations, and transitions
- Embed YouTube videos and other media
- Save time with keyboard shortcuts for basic and advanced actions
- Customize your workspace to suit your needs
- Learn about the different saving methods and capabilities
Workshop Put your new knowledge to use in a 2-hour hands-on workshop. Bring your projects in and come out with a finished, polished presentation.
Prerequisites:
Strong familiarity with Windows is required. Skills that will be used include cutting and pasting, copying, inserting, resizing objects, etc.
