Basic Microsoft Office Certificate of Completion

In this hands-on, three-part series, you will learn the basics to becoming proficient in three of the most commonly used Microsoft Office products: Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Afterwards, you will be awarded a certificate that demonstrates your completion of the series. This is an excellent course for those who want to build a foundational background in the Office suite.

  • Excel: Become familiar with the Excel workspace and ready to build your own spreadsheets.  Learn how to format data and cells, discover time-saving features to automatically fill in data, and create charts for reports or other projects.
  • Word: This introductory course in Word teaches you the skills you need to write and organize basic papers, reports, or other written documents.  Learn how to format text, create bulleted and numbered lists, and incorporate headers and footers, among other skills.
  • PowerPoint: Create organized, professional-looking presentations from scratch or use the  AutoContent Wizard.  You will learn to utilize some of the basic features in PowerPoint, including slide design, inserting images, and speaker's notes.

Familiarity with Windows and basic computing is strongly recommended. Skills that will be used include opening documents, cutting, pasting, inserting, and resizing objects.
