Get Ready for 2015-2016 PC Replacement
If your office computer has a Black PC Replacement 2010/2011 tag, you have requested that your computer be replaced through PC Replacement this upcoming year. Technology Training strongly recommends that you take advantage of classes available to prepare you for the arrival of your new machine with new software.
Technology Training offers class sessions on how to back up your current computer before replacement, Windows 7, and Microsoft Office 2010. The class schedule for summer and fall is available. You can register for classes through the Technology Training web site.
IT has provided a list of the software that will be installed on Mac and PC replacement machines. For Windows users, Windows 7 and Microsoft Office 2010 will be two of the biggest changes from the old system.
If you're unfamilar with Windows 7, you can watch this short 5 minute video that highlights some of the new features. Office 2010 is a big leap from Office 2003, but very similar to 2007. You can watch a video on the latest changes to Office 2010.
Mac users will have Mac OS X Snow Leopard (10.6) on their machines and Office 2011. Software training for your new Mac software is currently available by accessing on-line tutorials at lynda.com.
