Major in Classical Studies
Examine the foundations of Western civilization, from language to art to philisophy.
If you are interested in the foundations of Western civilization, Santa Clara University's classical studies program offers you a broad curriculum in language, literature, history, philosophy, and art unified by a concentration on the classical periods in ancient Greece and Rome. Although you will study Latin or Greek language and classical literature, the program emphasizes a comprehensive understanding of the foundations of Western culture rather than a single discipline.
