Major in German Studies
Study the literature, speech, and culture of Germany and the German language.
As a German studies major at Santa Clara University, you will learn about all aspects of the culture in courses such as the history of German civilization, 19th century romanticism, 20th century novels, and German literature. You can also study lyric poetry, German novels and films, and special topics in culture and literature. With permission from an instructor and the department chair, you may also take individually designed programs of advanced readings.
