Major in Studio Art
Express thought and feeling through visually based works of art, with a background in history and theory.
As a studio art major at Santa Clara University, you will learn how to express thought and feeling by creating visually based works of art. You will integrate theory and practice with choices ranging from painting and sculpture to computer art and design. Our majors develop a fundamental set of skills necessary for a career in the arts. Some graduates continue their studies in professional schools of design or fine art. Others go directly into art-related jobs, especially within the computer graphics industry.
