International Admission Requirements
Thank you for considering Santa Clara University. We understand that applying to school can be overwhelming and traveling abroad for school can be a difficult adjustment. We want to make the process as smooth as possible for you.
Santa Clara defines an international applicant as someone who is a citizen or permanent resident of a country other than the United States, and who will be studying in the United States on a temporary visa. If you fall within this category, you should follow the guidelines for an international student.
Santa Clara offers a direct exchange program as another option for students wanting an immersion experience.
Tips for getting started
- Transcripts must be reviewed by an outside evaluation agency. We recommend NACES services for credential evaluation. Provide SCU with the a complete course list and detailed course description.
- It is very important that the name used on your application, test scores, and supplemental materials is identical to the name on your passport. This will eliminate confusion in processing your application.
- Keep all mailing and e-mail addresses current and consistent with the admission office records.
- Documents should not be in notebooks or binders. Make sure supporting materials and test scores are labeled with the same name and address.
- Do your research; all schools are different and have different requirements.
- Download our Application Check List to ensure you have supplied SCU with all the required information.
