    Thursday, Oct. 25, 2007 at 4:51 PM

The Santa Clara University community is united in our thoughts and prayers for those families whose homes, lives, and communities have been affected by the wildfires in Southern California.

Our Enrollment Management staff is particularly aware that Early Action applicants might be experiencing additional anxiety in light of the upcoming Nov. 1 deadline. If your family or school is in an area directly affected by the fires, submit your admission and financial aid application materials as soon as you are able and the admission and financial aid staff will be as flexible as possible in allowing deadline extensions. If you need additional assistance, please contact our office at 408-554-4700.

  • Coming to SCU in the Fall and bringing a computer?

    Tuesday, May. 9, 2006 at 3:05 PM

Because SCU is located in the heart of Silicon Valley, computer and telecommunications technology are an integral part of life and learning here. All residence hall rooms are equipped with network connections that provide access to e-mail, the Internet, and the laser printer located at each hall's service desk.

If you're thinking about purchasing a computer to bring with you, visit the Student Technology Services Web site for some recommended brands and configurations.

Discounts on new computers from Dell and Apple are available to enrolled Santa Clara students. After you attend Orientation this summer, log in to ecampus and follow the links under the heading "Personal Computer Discounts" for more information. (Note: Students will not see this link in ecampus until they attend Orientation.)

Also be sure to visit the Housing Office Web site for a description of the technology ammenities in the residence halls and a list of what to bring when you move to Santa Clara.
