Invest in your Future

Our financial aid packages can decrease the cost of attendance substantially—with 81 percent of our students receiving some form of aid from scholarships, grants, loans, and campus employment. When compared to some public universities having an average time to graduation of 5+ years, Santa Clara may actually be a more cost-effective education.

Visit the Financial Aid webpage for more information.

Grants and Scholarships

Grants and scholarships are a potential way for you to pay for your Santa Clara education. Awarded according to a student’s financial need, merit or both criteria, grants and scholarships reduce the cost of being an SCU student without requiring repayment after you graduate.

Exceptionally well-qualified students should also learn more about the Johnson Scholars Program. This scholarship is designed to support the next generation of ethical leaders as they explore their personal potential and develop deep leadership skills.

Tuition and Fees

Tuition for the 2013-14 academic year is $42,156 and room and board is $12,546 (standard accommodations and basic dining plan). A reasonable budget for books, transportation, entertainment, and personal items is $5,000.

The intrinsic value of a Santa Clara education goes beyond the initial investment in tuition and related costs. Santa Clara graduates make immediate, measurable contributions as they enter or advance in their professions, and are sought by business, industry, nonprofits, and government.

For a complete list of fees, see the undergraduate fees schedule on the Bursar's site.
