We've experienced a few problems on the www Web servers due to network connectivity issues. Periodically, the web servers aren't able to connect to Commonspot's database server, resulting in error messages displayed on www.scu.edu. A software patch is scheduled to be installed on 1/30 at 7pm to resolve this issue.

The Bulletin Import element has been updated to handle bulletin content published in Commonspot, as well as earlier versions of the bulletins.

We've created a list of the top five maintenance tasks for subsite administrators. Regular maintenance will help to keep things organized in your site, and eliminate unnecessary pages and images in Commonspot and on the www.scu.edu Web site.

If you need to replace an uploaded file with a new version, you can use Commonspot's Subsite Administration forms to update it, instead of uploading a unique new file.

The system that is used to add, modify, and delete records in the Campus Event Calendar database has been updated. Along with an update to the user interface, some new features have been added.

Two options are available for including a secondary navigation menu in a Commonspot page or template. A left-column navigation option has been added.

The Commonspot authoring server will be offline for a few hours on Wednesday morning, Oct. 17. We plan to take the server offline at about 8 a.m., and anticipate restoring access by 10 a.m. Additional memory is being installed on the server.

Santa Clara University offers students, faculty, and staff the ability to create personal web pages. In addition, chartered and registered clubs and organizations at Santa Clara University can request space to create Web sites. This service is available through the Information Technology department's " webpages" server.
