If you need to replace an uploaded file with a new version, you can use Commonspot's Subsite Administration forms to update it, instead of uploading a unique new file. If you need to replace an uploaded file with a new version, you can use Commonspot's Subsite Administration forms to update it, instead of uploading a unique new file.

Instead of uploading a new file and changing any links to it (which would require a new file name) you can update the original file to a new version,  which preserves any existing links. Here's how to do that:

Login and view the Subsite Administration menu for the subsite that contains the original file (cms.scu.edu/[subsite]/admin.cfm.  Use the page/template reports "pages by site hierarchy" link to list the subsite files. Click the edit icon next to the original uploaded file and select "upload new version" from the menu.  This will replace the original file, while keeping any existing links intact.
