Video Element

The video element can be used to embed a video file in a Commonspot page. You will need to have the URL for a video file available in order to use this element; the URL can be to a file uploaded to a Commonspot site, or to a file stored on an external media server.

The video element form will allow you to provide a title and description for the video, and optionally include a link to a higher-bandwidth version, or a text transcript of the video content. The element will accept URLs for video files in Flash Video, RealMedia or Quicktime formats. A link to a corresponding Web browser plug-in application will also be included automatically, in case the viewer does not have it installed.

YouTube Video

Video content hosted on YouTube can be included using a custom element.  Look for the "YouTube Video" element in the Content Well element gallery category.  This element requires the ID or URL of a YouTube video, and accepts optional parameters for the height and width of the video display.  Here's an example:
