Introducing Commonspot 5

This version of Commonspot introduces a new user interface, with a more streamlined presentation.  Along with changes to the interface, Commonspot 5 includes a new version of the rich-text editor.

 
Changes in the new version
Here are some highlights of the changes in Commonspot 5.
  • loginLogging in
    No changes here - you'll still login by appending "login.cfm" to your site on the cms server. 
  • menuCommonspot Icons
    Once you've logged in, you'll notice that the placement and appearance of the three Commonspot icons at the top of the page have changed.  View an example »
  • Page ViewPage View Menu
    You'll switch from the Read to Author view from the Page View menu at the of the page.  Once in Author mode, you'll notice that the icons for each editable element have changed in Commonspot 5.  View an example.
  • Authoring iconsAuthoring View Changes
    Access to editing element properties and content are presented differently in Commonspot 5.  View a side-by-side comparison of the authoring options in the current version and Commonspot 5.
  • Control displayDisplaying Commonspot icons
    In the new version, you can control which of the Commonspot icons are displayed on a page when in the Authoring view. View an example
