CommonSpot Image GalleryUploading GuidelinesImages can be inserted in Web pages from the Image Gallery. You can search the image gallery using a keyword search to find images appropriate for your content (look at the keyword requirements page to know what type of keywords will be the most useful). You also may upload new images from your PC or Mac. Before they are uploaded, images need to be:
Image SizesLARGE (lg)The "full-width" photo size is 420 pixels wide (no fixed height) and is most commonly used in the center well. This is all the space allowed in the template in the minimum 800x600 view. MEDIUM (md)The "half-width" image is 210 pixels wide (no fixed height) and is most commonly used in the center Content Well. SMALL (sm)This image width is used primarily in the pre-formatted "feature" Content Well element, at 140 pixels wide (no fixed height). EXTRA SMALL (xs)This image width is used primarily in the pre-formatted "feature" Right Column element, at 100 pixels wide (no fixed height). THUMBNAIL (th)This image size is primarily used in a table, right hand element, or as a graphic element to an index of site content. The set dimensions for a thumbnail image are 57 pixels wide x 57 pixels tall. The width and the height are both set for this image size. Note: The SCU homepage photos do not follow this nomenclature, because the homepage template is unique. The top photos (the triptych) will have an h1 designation, and are 568 x 59 pixels, and homepage should a keyword. The feature thumbnails are 110 x 75 pixels, and will have an hp designation; homepage should also be a keyword. |
