Working with Images

Image Size Specifications

Images must be cropped or resized to fit one of the following five standard image sizes. An image optimization utility is available to Commonspot users for resizing over-sized images.

students, orientation, outside, lg

Large

The "full-width" photo size is 420 pixels and it is for use in the center well. This is the maximum width allowed in the template in the minimum 800x600 view. When uploading to the Image Gallery, add lg (large) as the last key word and in the initial file name.
1st generation student close up

Medium

The "half-width" photo is 210 pixels wide and it is for use in the center well. When uploading to the Image Gallery, add md (medium) as the last key word and in the initial file name.

Small

This photo width is used primarily in the pre-formatted "feature" element, at 140 pixels. When uploading to the Image Gallery, add sm (small) as the last key word and in the initial file name.

Extra Small

This photo width of 100 pixels is used primarily in the pre-formatted "feature" module for the right-hand elements. When uploading to the Image Gallery, add xs (extra-small) as the last key word and in the initial file name.

Thumbnail

The thumbnail photo width is 57 pixels by 57 pixels and is primarily used in a table, right hand element or as a visual accent to an index page of site content.
