Alan Louie has a deep interest in science research and in the future of education and learning. He is the founder of Text Genome, which is building technology to improve literacy and reading comprehension for students. Previously, he was founder and managing partner for Imagine K12, an incubator for K-12 education startups.
Alan’s career includes sales, business development and engineering at Google, Shutterfly, Netscape and Sun Microsystems among others.
He has conducted research and software engineering work at NASA JPL and software analysis for advanced aeronautics for Cray Research.
Alan is a visiting scholar in Santa Clara School of Engineering’s Robotic Systems Lab. He holds a bachelor of arts degree in physics from Occidental College.
