- Santa Clara University Food Pantry
Access to funding is available through the Office of Student Life for students who are experiencing food insecurity - the lack of reliable access to sufficient quantities of affordable, nutritious food.
- The Greater Boston Food Bank
We signed up to help at the Food Bank in April but needed to cancel due to the pandemic. The Food Bank needs help more than ever and still has volunteer opportunities throughout the Boston area. Find out more here!
- Boston Cares
Boston Cares is the largest volunteer agency in New England, a member of the Points of Light Global Network, and fills more than 25,000 volunteer spots annually in support of more than 180 Greater Boston schools and non-profit agencies.
- Special Olympics Massachusetts
Special Olympics Massachusetts is a global organization that serves athletes with intellectual disabilities working with hundreds of thousands of volunteers and coaches each year.
- St. Vincent De Paul Boston
St. Vincent De Paul Boston leads women and men to join together to grow spiritually by offering person-to-person services to the needy and suffering.
- Catholic Charities Boston
Catholic Charities Boston offers over 70 programs and services in 23 locations around Eastern Massachusetts. From Lawrence to Brockton and Natick to Boston, our service sites throughout Eastern Massachusetts help our neediest neighbors of all faiths.
- The Jesuit Friends and Alumni Network
The Jesuit Friends and Alumni Network provides opportunities around the country to connect Jesuit Alumni. Check out their volunteer, social, and spiritual events too!
Ignatian Spirituality
Finding God in All Things…. And All Places! Here are some Jesuit resources in and near Boston.
- St. Ignatius of Loyola Parish
St. Ignatius of Loyola Parish also provides outreach opportunities in the Boston area. Visit their Outreach Ministries webpage for more information.
- Eastern Point Retreat House
Eastern Point Retreat House, in Gloucester, MA is open year-round, and the facility offers directed, guided and weekend retreats. In January and July. The full Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius Loyola are offered on an individually directed basis. Each year there are about 20 directed retreats, three guided retreats and eight weekend retreats. Retreatants are male and female religious and laypeople from many different religious affiliations. Currently, there are three Jesuit priests, a lay director and a sister of Saint Joseph on the staff, along with trained guest directors.
- St. Ignatius Church
Located in the historic neighborhood of Chestnut Hill, Mass., just six miles outside of Boston under the care of the Jesuit Fathers residing at Boston College. Parishioners are drawn from across eastern Massachusetts and include families, single adults and students from Boston College.
- Our Lady of Hope Parish
Live closer to Maine? Our Lady of Hope Parish in Portland volunteers with The Wayside Soup Kitchen to serve meals to those in need.
