    Join us for a thrilling Shark Tank-style showcase of Bronco Ventures Accelerator (BVA) startups! Bronco alumni, faculty, and students will present two-minute pitches to Silicon Valley investors in hopes to get their startups funded. This dynamic cohort of 22 startup companies covers a broad variety of sectors including Virtual Reality, Machine Learning, Internet-of-Things, Cryptocurrency, NFTs, Cybersecurity, Transportation, eCommerce, FinTech, and Energy. In the past three years, BVA companies have raised over $40 million from VC and angel investors, as well as the new Bronco Ventures Fund. A networking reception with refreshments and live music will follow. Bronco Ventures is a program of the Ciocca Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship.

    Conscience and Catholicism: A Moral Tradition in Renewal, presented by the Markkula Center for Applied Ethics

    In 2016, Pope Francis said that leaders in the Catholic Church have been "called to form consciences, not to replace them." In his presentation, David DeCosse, director of Religious and Catholic Ethics at the Markkula Center for Applied Ethics, will provide an overview of the theological background behind the statement by Pope Francis. He will also discuss cases of Catholic schools firing gay or lesbian employees in light of different approaches within the Catholic tradition to the theology of conscience. DeCosse is a Catholic theologian and ethicist who has written and edited multiple works on the theology of conscience.
