Topping last year's totals by 166%, donors contributed a staggering $3,506,768 across more than 160 programs around campus! Best known for her game-winning shootout goal in the 1999 World Cup final, Brandi Chastain ’91 knows how it feels to do something inspiring. And, she’s at it again. Brandi, who was recently nominated to the National Soccer Hall of Fame, says she will donate her brain to C.T.E. research, a move that will help advance the study of brain injuries in sports and make soccer safer for future generations. Rising to the Challenge
As you may know, in late January an SCU student was rushed to the hospital with what turned out to be meningitis. The University responded quickly, effectively, and compassionately to the outbreak. The student has now returned safely to campus and Santa Clara is gaining national attention for its impressive response to the crisis.
