A Gentle Christmas
Advent is a season of penance. But what does “penance” really mean? It is not punishment, writes Art Liebscher, S.J. ’69, M. Div. ’84 JST, S.T.M. ’86 JST but instead “clearing the way to reach what we want and need.” This Advent, Fr. Liebscher encourages us to look beyond the holiday traditions of gift giving to ponder instead “what our hearts truly desire.” |
