BEST College Prep

Former MLB player Randy Winn ’96 shared his story during the first-ever Black Excellence, Success, and Trailblazing (BEST) college prep program. In partnership with the SCU Admission Office, BEST brought together faculty, staff, students, and alumni, including Winn and SCU Regent Latanya Hilton ’96, to mentor Black students and encourage the pursuit of higher education. Pat Gelsinger ’83 is taking the reins as Intel’s next CEO. For Gelsinger, it’s a bit like coming home. He started his career at Intel in 1979 following a job interview he landed during his first-ever plane flight.
