At the 2017 President’s Dinner, more than 350 members of the Bronco family came together for a remarkable evening honoring Alumni Award recipients and President’s Club members, including a special recognition of the Founder's Society. Losing a Basketball Legend
We say goodbye to one of our all-time greats, the late Ken Sears ’55, member of the 1952 Final Four team who twice earned West Coast Conference Player of the Year. He was inducted into the Santa Clara Athletics Hall of Fame and had his jersey retired in January 2008. Read more » |

New Dean Appointed to SCU’s School of Engineering
Alfonso Ortega, Ph.D., the James R. Birle Professor of Energy Technology at Villanova University, has been appointed the next dean of the School of Engineering and the John M. Sobrato Professor, effective Aug. 1. Santa Clara University will benefit greatly from his passion for engineering education, deep embrace of the School’s Jesuit Catholic mission, and vast administrative experience.
