Symposium Awards to Marina MacLatchie and Hannah Baker

This year's Art History Student Research Symposium and Paper Prize Competition awards goes to Marina MacLatchie and Hannah Baker. Marina won the Art History Research Paper Prize for "Foreign Fantasies: Fabricating the Other in Art Nouveau Jewelry" and Hannah won the Art History Student Research Symposium Awarrd for "Fabric on the Fringe: Abstraction and Identity in the Art of Sam Gilliam". Congratulations to both Marian and Hannah.
A special recognition goes out to Anna Behrens for representing Santa Clara University at the Sixth Annual Bay Area Undergraduate Art History Research Symposium at the de Young Museum in San Francisco in April 2015. Hannah gave a formal oral presentation on her research "Ritual Accumulation: African and European Power Objects"
