Tobias Wofford Leads Student Curated Exhibition

Betlach Collection

Santa Clara Art History students curate a special exhibit exploring entropy.

Assistant Professor Tobias Wofford was featured in the November 6, 2014 fyi Faculty and Staff Newsletter as the organizer of a student curated exhibition. In the Spring of 2014 Tobias taught a Special Topics course in Exhibiting Contemporary Art.  The fourteen Art History students enrolled gained hands-on experience by curating a professional-level exhibition of contemporary art.  By using the collection of a prominent Bay Area collector Charles J. Betlach II, the result is an art exhibit titled "Interrupting Entropy: Selections from the Betlach Collection," which will be on view until February 27, 2015 in the 3rd floor gallery of Santa Clara University's Harrington Learning Commons Library. This group also put together a catalog that was published in conjunction with the exhibition Interrupting Entropy: Selections From the Betlach Collection.

Congratulations to the editors Marina MacLatchie Gina Marioni, Gina Pasquali and Tobias Wofford, the designer of the catalog Sierra-Ashley Caragan and to the contributors Gregory Ackerman, Hannah Baker, Ashley Hemstreet, Marina MacLatchie, Gina Marioni, Kimberley Martinez, Samantha Nelson, Nicole Ouellette, Gina Parise, Gina Pasquali, Kathleen Peairs, Madeline Reo, Celia Schaefer, Ryan Tsao and Tobias Wofford.
