Andrea Pappas at the biennial Winterthur Needlework Conference

Andrea Pappas presented her new research on eighteenth-century American needlework at the biennial Winterthur Needlework Conference on October 14th. Needlework specialists--historians, conservators, and curators--hailing from the US, Canada, and the UK attended this important gathering of  needlework and textile scholars. Nearly 200 people attended this two-day event at the historic Winterthur Museum in Delaware. It was a great opportunity to interact and exchange ideas with specialists in this branch of textile studies. Andrea says, "It was a great learning opportunity as well as a valuable place to air my own work; I took notes like crazy!"
