Beyond Borders: Stories of im/Migration Exhibition

The Edward M. Dowd building was filled with music, art, and engaging conversation the night February 2nd, as the Art and Art History Department hosted an artist round-table and reception in conjunction with its current exhibition, Beyond Borders: Stories of Im/migration as part of the Department’s ‘First Friday’ programming. With generous support from the College of Arts and Sciences Center for the Arts and Humanities Salon, the event brought together members of the community, five visual artists whose work deals with stories of immigration, and musicians from the band, LoCura. The exhibition, curated by Gutfreund Cornett Art, will be on view until April 6 and is made possible by the College of Arts and Sciences Center for the Arts and Humanities Salon, the Arts for Social Justice, and the Department of Public Health.
