My internship at The Walt Disney Company in Enterprise Social Responsibility was an amazing experience! Working alongside the most creative minds I’ve ever seen was a real dream-come-true. I was able to help translate the stories and characters I grew up with for new opportunities and experiences! For example, I worked closely with the franchise teams on the company-wide #ShareYourEars campaign to unlock $3 million in donations to Make-A-Wish. I got to see how much thought and care goes into such an iconic character like Mickey, and to have millions of people share how Mickey inspires their lives was truly impactful. Another example was working with the "Starlight Xperience" virtual reality team, which launched at Lucasfilm in October. There, they transformed Star Wars into a VR experience SPECIFICALLY for patients at children's hospitals! Santa Clara University really gave me the foundation I needed to be a part of something magical.
