Summer 2017 Art and Writing

DCP and Cristo Rey high schools coming to SCU this Summer

Funded by a grant through the Hearst Foundation and in collaboration with Downtown College Prep. (DCP) and Cristo Rey high schools, the Department of Art and Art History will be offering courses in ceramics and digital printmaking as well as hosting writing classes for students from Downtown College Prep and Cristo Rey high school.  DCP and Cristo Rey traditionally serve low income would-be first generation college students. The program, now in its fourth year, will take place for five weeks over the summer culminating in an art exhibition and college entrance essays.
