Mariachiara Gasparini presenting her research at Stanford

On March 2nd from 7:30-9pm, Mariachiara will be presenting part of her research on the transmission of textile techniques and motifs comprised in the Sino-Sogdian artistic repertoire through former Tibetan areas. Her paper, Trans-Himalayan Transmission: Sino-Sogdian Textile Heritage In Tibetan Areas, explores the later development of early Islamic Central Asian textile production and its adaptation into Buddhist context. Professor Gasparini will present on March 2nd from 7:30-9pm in the Knight Building Room 102 located at 521 Memorial Way, Stanford University Center for East Asian Studies.
