Gene Delyon is one of the best sluggers in Bronco Baseball history. His .407 average remains the best single season batting average in Santa Clara’s history. During his athletic career, Delyon hit 30 home runs, the third most in Bronco baseball history and his 48 doubles ranks 8th in the record books. Delyon also ranks in the top ten for RBIs (5th), total bases (8th), extra base hits (8th), walks (6th), and his .671 slugging percentage is the best in school history. Delyon was inducted into the Santa Clara Hall of Fame in 1998
