Fein ended her college career with the Broncos 83-9-4. In her four years at Santa Clara, 1996-1999, Fein played in four consecutive Final Fours. Fein was honored as a First Team All-American twice, first in 1998 and a second time in 1999. Additionally, Serlenga was selected for the All-West Region Team ('97, '98, '99), the College Cup All-Tournament Team ('98, '99), the WCC Defender of the Year ('99), First Team All-WCC ('98, '99), and Second Team All-WCC ('97).

During her senior season, Nikki and teammates Jacqui Little, Kim Pickup, Kylie Bivens, and Whitney Hollis, scored 108 goals and allowed 10 for a goal differential of +98 goals which is still an NCAA record for goal differential in a season. Among her many athletic achievements, Serlenga’s career is highlighted by a success on the United States Women’s National Soccer Team and a Silver Medal from the 2000 Olympic Games.
