Rick Foley was an outstanding pitcher for the Bronco Baseball team in the 1970s. During his junior and senior seasons at Santa Clara, he led the team in wins, ERA, strikeouts, complete games, innings pitched, and starts. He also earned NCBA Pitcher of the Year honors both years. His senior season Foley set Santa Clara single season records for wins (14), complete games (15), innings pitched (155), and tied the record for games started (18). He is a  two-time All-NCBA First Team selection. Foley ranks in the top-10 for multiple career statistical categories including ERA (2.51), innings pitched (386), strikeouts (306) and wins (30). Following his Santa Clara career, he was drafted in the 5th round of the 1978 draft and played minor league ball for multiple years.
