Dutch Hamann, a Bellarmine boy, played football for the University of Santa Clara. After graduation in 1932, he served as the University's Alumni Association Director before joining the United States Navy during World War II. Post WWII, Hamann left the Navy as a Lieutenant Commander. The A.P. “Dutch” Hamann Family Endowed Scholarship at Santa Clara University honors Hamann, and provides scholarships for deserving Bronco athletes.
