Lou Lucas, Bay Area native, attended Santa Clara University on a baseball scholarship and earned a Bachelor's Degree in History in 1953. Following graduation he served as an Artillery Officer during the Korean conflict. Lucas began volunteering at Santa Clara in June of 1992 as an administrative assistant of travel for all sports teams. Prior to returning to the Broncos, Lucas was a U.S Government teacher at Santa Clara High School and Bellarmine College Prep for 30 years. While at Santa Clara High School, Lucas was an assistant baseball coach at SCU for 20 years. He also acted as assistant baseball coach at St. Francis High School in Mountain View fro 9 years. Lucas served on the alumni board of directors association for 3 years. Lucas was inducted into both the Bellarmine College Prep and Santa Clara University Hall of Fames.
